Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on Lenovo Legion 5i Pro

Lenovo Legion 5i Pro

I bought a new gaming laptop for work but as always i would like to run Ubuntu on it. As i’ve tried Ubuntu 20.04LTS on a lived-USB, the touchpad doesn’t seem to work. I decided to install it completely and the touchpad worked after kernel upgrade.

1. Download Ubuntu and create lived-USB installer

2. Since touchpad is not working, just use keyboard shorcuts for installing Ubuntu 20.04

3. After successful installation, Open “Software Updater” and click “Partial Update”

4. Touchpad should be fixed, Kernel should be updated to the latest On Linux 5.11.0-38-generic #42~20.04.01-Ubuntu

NOTE: On Linux 5.11.0-38-generic #42~20.04.01-Ubuntu, the touchpad should work but:

Where do you want to celebrate Software Freedom Day 2011?

Software Freedom Day is a world wide celebration of Free and Open Source Software….”

I’d like to travel and celebrate the SFD at St. Paul University, Tuguegarao City organized by Team sfd.ph
It’s been a couple of years since the last i ride on a bus for about 13-14hrs hours. I miss travelling alone, keep silence, specially with this event.
Probably, I will stop by in Santiago City ( where I grew up, year 2007 was my last vacation in there) and meet my friends, old folks and relatives before going to Tugue, how exciting it will be eh.
I just need 4 days to spend, to meet the demands of my activities, +1 for the event. But here it goes time never permitted me.

I’m glad that 32 teams this year are going to celebrate SFD here in the Philippines. Hooray!… Horaay… what a happy day…

Question: Now, where am i going to celebrate SFD 2011?

I’ll be having ubuntu free talks on September 17, 2011 at Polytechnic University of the Phillippines, Quezon City Campus organized by:Team DOMT  (Morning Session)
and I’m also going to attend the afternoon Session of  Software Freedom Network at University of Santo Tomas. (I’m not sure yet, if time permits hehe)

“Celebrating SFD is like FOSS, it’s a matter of choice, you are always FREE to choose what/where you wanted to,  choose what’s best for you,  FREE as in FREEdom.”

How about you?... Where do you want to celebrate Software Freedom Day 2011?
